Pecky Cypress is an uncommon wood characterized by the oblong holes and indents made when water-resistant bald cypress trees have a fungus called brown pocket rot. The fungus stops growing as soon as the tree is felled. The holes on this piece of pecky have been filled with gold resin to give a bit of shimmer. It's many uses include as wall art, shelves or a table top.
